People seek counseling for a variety of reasons. These reasons may include needing guidance, support, encouragement, and/or education on how to manage stress or resolve conflicts. Sometimes we need to learn how to make changes in our life or just need someone to explore our thoughts and feelings with. Our job is to work with you in achieving whatever your goals may be.
We are ten licensed therapists located in Downtown Wheaton. Our experience enables us to offer effective outpatient, individualized care for adults, teens, children, couples, and families.
Our focus is to help you heal, energize, and become aware of your inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.

Aya is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lewis University. Aya is bilingual in English and Arabic and has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults.

Kristen is an experienced school Social Worker with a demonstrated history of working in the mental health care industry. She is skilled in nonprofit organizations, crisis intervention, community outreach, case management, and working with adolescents and young adults.

Taylor provides counseling and art therapy services to children, teens and adults within residential, outpatient, and inpatient settings. She utilizes trauma focused CBT, DBT, and art therapy interventions while creating a collaborative environment and a strong therapeutic relationship to help clients reach their goals.

Peyton provides counseling services to teens within residential and outpatient settings. He utilizes CBT and DBT therapy interventions to establish a trusting relationship with his clients while creating a safe environment for them to learn about their emotional health and gain an understanding of how to navigate the challenges of life.
Clinical Intern
Dan has several years of experience working with youth and adults in individual and group settings. Dan’s philosophy is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where individuals can be their authentic selves.
Dan is currently pursuing his master’s in social work (MSW) at Aurora University.

Erin is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who earned her Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.) in Counselor Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has worked in schools, outpatient, and residential settings. She treats anxiety, stress, and relationship issues.

Alexa Ruffino is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Alexa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from National Louis University. She has experience in traditional outpatient therapy, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient settings.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. We can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held with both couples and is a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship.
