Matt is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
"Through my years as a clinical counselor and school counselor, I have worked with clients and patients in the community and hospital settings and provide a collaborative, empathic approach in helping them understand and move towards their values, overcome challenges, and attain life goals."
Matt earned his State of Illinois Professional Counseling License from Governor's State University and Master's degree in School Counseling from Saint Xavier University. He is also registered as a National Certified Counselor and National Certified School Counselor with the National Board for Certified Counselors.
Matt has worked with adolescents and adults in the public school, college, and outpatient hospital settings. He has extensive experience working with anxiety, ADHD, autism, bipolar, depression, anger, and job/life stress populations. Matt uses a variety of therapeutic approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused, Medical Model, Family Systems Therapy, and Career Counseling.
